High-Tech Solutions To The Rescue

When it comes to technology, we are surely living in the best of times. The Internet, alone, allows us to be much more productive in how we optimize our lives. There can be downsides to technology, too.

Downside #1: Too many options. It is easy to look at all the possibilities and just get stuck doing nothing while you look into them all.

Downside #2: Too many operations. It is just as easy to get into so many different types of technology that you too bogged down to use any to its fullest.

My tip is to address #1 is: Find something good enough. There are a number of ways you can accomplish wellness using technology. Choose one that meets your needs well enough and start. Each day you spend looking for the perfect fit, is a day of no real advancement to your goals.

A good example is what's available to get in shape using online and offline technology. See the article referenced below for ideas and I even offer online fitness guidance as one of my services.

My tip to address #2 is: Simplify and focus. Find a technology that encompasses multiple tasks or figure out a way to vary how you use a technology you already enjoy. The more you can do with less, the better.

Check out the other reference below to see how one person uses Twitter to record her eating.

The one thing to keep in mind is no technology will save you. Technology will always be there to help. But helping is the only role it can play. Its benefit to you is completely subject to what you do with it.

Even your old treadmill can become a weapon of fat destruction instead of a laundry rack.
